A Summer to Remember in Shawnee
Dear Shawnee Chamber Members,

Congratulations to SpeedPro Shawnee, who are back-to-back-to-back Golf Tournament champions. And to everyone who came out for Americana & Ales in the middle of a historic summer: you helped show Kansas City and the world exactly what Shawnee is made of.

I also want to take a moment to recognize the 19 members of the Shawnee Tomorrow Professional Development Program Class of 2026. Watching these leaders graduate is one of the highlights of my year, and I'll admit it's a little extra special knowing one of them is Tyler Ramaekers, a colleague of mine at A.L. Huber Construction. The future of Shawnee is in good hands. If you know someone who belongs in the next cohort, nominations for Shawnee Tomorrow 2027 are now open — I'd encourage you to put your name or another's forward.

While all of that was happening, the Chamber continued honoring our 80th anniversary by spotlighting the members who helped build this city. This quarter, we turned the lens on Family Tree Nursery and Shawnee Town 1929— two legacy institutions who have been a part of the Shawnee Chamber for decades. We also highlighted Transport Brewery and Woodland FC, Shawnee's own soccer club, as the world was brought to our backyard.
What's Ahead
- Red Friday Luncheon, September 11th — Chiefs season is here, and there's no better way to kick it off than with your fellow Chamber members. Registration coming soon.
- Trivia Night, November 13th — Ask anyone who's been: this is one of the most fun events we put on all year. This year's theme is to honor USA's 250th birthday: United States of Shawnee. Register your team of 8 players now.
