Shawnee Young Professionals
Shawnee Young Professionals (SYP) furthers the chamber’s mission by engaging and empowering the next generation of leaders who are committed to personal growth and career advancement while serving the greater community.
SYP provides valuable and comprehensive opportunities for personal and professional advancement through networking, education and mutual support within the chamber and community. We strive to be the catalyst that allows young professionals to make measurable and significant impacts in both their personal and professional lives, as well as in our community. In 2017, SYP plans to focus on the following facets:
- Professional Development: to improve the skills and sharpen the tools necessary for young professionals to engage and capitalize on the opportunities presented to them.
- Civic Engagement: to take a hands-on approach to helping the local non-profits and charitable organizations accomplish their established goals of improving the community.
- Social/Business Networking: to provide the opportunity for young professionals to grow their own personal and professional network, while facilitating opportunities to integrate the next generation of business leaders with the existing leaders in our community.

2018 Partnership Opportunities:
The Shawnee Young Professionals program is dependent upon corporate and community funding to ensure the growth and sustainability of the program and its mission. Financial or in-kind support is vital to providing well-balanced and valuable opportunities for young professionals to make significant impacts in both their personal and professional lives. Our initiatives would not be possible without the support of the local business community.
