The Shawnee Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Elli Bowen has been promoted to Director of Business Development & Retention for the Shawnee Economic Development Council (SEDC). The SEDC is a division of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce.
This is a new position that reports to Andrew Nave, Executive Director, SEDC. Bowen’s primary emphasis in her new role will be to execute programs to promote economic development expansion, retention and attraction in Shawnee. She will be working closely with the commercial real estate market and economic development partner organizations. In addition, Bowen will work with the 70+ EDC members providing value-added benefits and relevant connections.
“I’m looking forward to working with the City of Shawnee and area developers to grow Shawnee’s business community,” said Bowen. “The SEDC plays an important role in this growth and creating the best environment for new and existing businesses.” Bowen graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing.
