Each year, millions of people support charitable organizations via donations on Giving Tuesday. We’ve compiled a list of all of our member organizations that charitable missions that support our community! We encourage you to browse through our list, learn a little bit more about each organization and to support them through the holiday season as they work to complete their missions and goals.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society provides programs and services to help patients manage cancer treatment and recovery and find the emotional support they need. And best of all, our help is free. Consider donating to support their programs and services here in Kansas!
Friends of Shawnee Town
The Friends of Shawnee Town (FOST) support the Mission of the Museum and promote the programs that help ensure its future growth and success. Funds from special events and Friends’ membership fees go into Museum programs like the Speakers Series and underwriting the costs of additional artifacts for the Museum.
Hillcrest Transitional Housing
Hillcrest provides transitional housing and other programs that combat homelessness by building the self-sufficiency of families. Hillcrest serves youth, individuals and families throughout the greater Kansas City region through its five residential sites in Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas and Jackson County in Missouri.

Integrated Employment Enterprises (IEE) is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates competitive and integrated employment opportunities for individuals who are disabled.
Johnson County Christmas Bureau
JCCB provides warmth and support during the winter holiday season to low-income JoCo families, increases awareness and understanding of poverty in JoCo and gives neighbors and outlet to help neighbors.
Kiwanis Club of Shawnee
At the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, their mission is to develop resources that transform the goodwill and vision of Kiwanians into programs that serve the children of the world. So the work of the Children’s Fund helps Kiwanians change kids’ lives—often in ways that would otherwise remain beyond the resources of clubs and districts.
KVC Kansas represents one of the broadest child welfare and behavioral healthcare continuums of care in the nation and helps over 12,000 Kansas children and their families each year.
Mercy & Truth Medical Missions
Mercy & Truth Medical Missions provides international and local healthcare services through two clinics in the Kansas City area. They also send medical teams on international missions to reach the underserved.

The Red Thread
The Red Thread combines American Talents with those of developing countries across the world. By purchasing art or making a donation to the Red Thread you allow the people of Haiti, Ethiopia , Kenya and South Vietnam to feed, house and educate their children
Rotary Clubs of Shawnee and Western Johnson County
Rotary Clubs raise funds for: providing clean water and sanitation. Health and hope in areas that were once ravaged by diseases like polio. Economic development and new opportunities. And much more.
Shawnee Community Services
Shawnee Community Services offers a hand up to those in need throughout the Greater Kansas City. They serve our customers with integrity and respect by providing them with food, clothing, emergency financial assistance for shelter, utilities and health care; and, advocacy.
Sunflower House is a non-profit that was founded in 1977. It is a non-residential children’s advocacy and abuse prevention center serving Johnson and Wyandotte counties through education, advocacy, forensic, medical and therapeutic services.
