2009 Program
Become one of the individuals who have completed this program and are now serving throughout the community and state!

Originally started by the Chamber in 1989, the purpose of the program is to develop individuals to assume leadership roles within Shawnee, Johnson County, and the state of Kansas and beyond. Since its inception, over 220 individuals have graduated from this leadership program with many serving our community in various roles.

Participants will be required to attend eight full day and one half day class sessions from January 2009 to May 2009.  Topics will include Education, Health Care, Economic Development, Community Service and City, County and State Government.

Program Chair Justin Nichols of Lathrop & Gage, LC stated, “The Shawnee Tomorrow steering committee has high hopes for the 2009 class. We are changing to more community-service focus this year, and will be presenting class members with more and better opportunities to take advantage of the many exciting programs that Shawnee and Johnson County have to offer. Anyone interested in learning more about Shawnee and interested in networking with other professionals in the greater Kansas City area would be ideally suited to our program, and we would invite them to join us this year."
