National Tourism Week Luncheon
In celebration of National Tourism Week, Executive Director of the Travel Industry Association of Kansas Dick Carter (right) spoke at the Chamber's Membership Luncheon Wednesday, May 12, at Shawnee Town Hall.
The recognition of Good Starts Here Award was presented to
Charley Vogt (left), Country Club Bank, by Chair of the Convention and Visitors Bureau Ann Zimmerman (middle). Vogt received this honor for his outstanding service to Shawnee tourism.

31st Annual Golf Tournament
Monday, May 17, marked the Chamber's 31st Annual Golf Tournament at
beautiful Lake Quivira Country Club, 100 Crescent Blvd. With a day full
of golfing, good company, challenging contests and laughs,
one team had to prevail.
Standing in for the first-place team, The Mission Bank, Clay Coburn accepts the winning trophy for The Mission Bank team; golfers consisted of
Coburn, Cliff Young, Chris Gaunce and Rob Gleissner. Way to go, team! |
Morning Coffee
President Mary Dobbins and staff of Numerical Control Support (NCS) Precision Manufacturing accepts a gift from the Chamber for hosting a Morning Coffee Thursday, May 20, at their location, 21945 W. 83rd St.
Chamber members and guests enjoyed breakfast, good company and a tour of the manufacturing facility.
NCS is happy to be in Shawnee, with its three generations working hard to supply products to the aerospace and food-processing industries.
