Recently the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce integrated its database with the website, providing a number of enhancements to the Online Business Directory. These enhancements include several new features that will provide increased brand awareness, promotion opportunities and greater convenience for your business.

Specific enhancements to the online directory include:

• Business name will link through to your business website.
• Members can add or update contact information directly on the website ensuring the most accurate information is displayed.
• New members are highlighted with an icon, will be included in a scrolling list on the business directory search page and are featured on the View New Members search results for 60 days.

Additionally, under the directory listing, there will now be links to:

• My List – compile your own temporary list of companies to print or export. When you leave the site, the list will not be saved.
• More Info – opens a new window providing additional business information such as business description and additional locations.
• Email – brings up a window to submit an email to the business.
• Map – pulls up a map pinpointing the members business location.
• My Roster – permanent list of contacts you have selected.

Further enhancements to the online member directory listing include the ability to add coupons, members only discounts and job opportunities. These are each described below.

Advertise your products/services through the Chamber site and increase your business! Posting a coupon on the Chamber website is an easy way to gain more exposure and entice new customers. Hundreds of visitors browse the Chamber website each month. Posting a coupon is easy and any visitor to the Chamber's web site will be able to view and print coupons.

Your coupon will be listed along with your business information in our online business directory. The ability to post coupons is a benefit of membership. There are no additional fees. Simply login via the members only page to add your coupon.

Support your fellow Chamber members by offering a members only discount or by taking advantage of the great deals offered by other members. The Members Only Discount program promotes member to member buying, boosts sales, and increases visibility for your business.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Celebrate the Opening of Your Business!

Make your grand opening more special with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony. The Chamber will promote the event on our online calendar and postcard mailing, and arrange for city officials to attend. Typically scheduled for a Tuesday or Thursday, we also provide the ribbon and scissors. Photos of the Ribbon Cutting will appear in the member events page of the Chamber website. Ribbon Cuttings are a great opportunity to introduce the membership to your business and become acquainted with your services.

Share Your Organization's Events and View Happenings Around the Community.

The Member Company Events Calendar lets users view and search for events happening in the Shawnee community. As a Chamber member, you now have another avenue to promote your business events and activities, giving you additional visibility. Chamber members are welcome to submit calendar listings for events hosted by your organization and of broad interest to the Shawnee community. The calendar provides a simple, centralized means to announce and describe activities of interest to other Chamber members and the Shawnee community.
