Business After Hours
The Sheraton Overland Park Hotel hosted January's
Business After Hours event Thursday, January 21.
Chamber members enjoyed an evening in the hotel's
restaurant and lounge, anticipating the Chamber's
premiere event to take place in
the hotel the following

2009 Annual Dinner,
Good Fortune Starts Here
The 2009 Annual Dinner, Good Fortune Starts Here, was an
elegant evening of bidding, dining, dancing and business, all in good company, Saturday, January 30, at the Sheraton
Overland Park Hotel.
The evening honored the 2009 Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, John Miller, Lake Quivira Country Club (left), and welcomed the 2010 Chairman of the Board, Tim Harmon, Harmon Construction Inc. (right). Thank you both for all of your hard work and dedication.

The 2009 Citizen of the Year award was presented to Mayor Jeff Meyers in honor of his efforts and determination of making
the Shawnee community a place to live, work and grow.
Humbled, Mayor Meyers delivered a sincere speech, thanking his wife, family and community for being by his side.
