The Total Resource Campaign (TRC) for 2010 will begin on Thursday, September 3. The theme for the campaign this year is "Hook, line and sinker. Make 2010 a BIG catch!" We will officially launch the campaign at the Business-After-Hours event Thursday, September 3, at Appreciated Advertising, 2340 Merriam Lane, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The TRC is your chance to reserve sponsorships and other promotional opportunities for your 2010 business-marketing plan. The Shawnee Chamber of Commerce offers a wide variety of special event and program sponsorships, including the Annual Dinner, the Golf Tournament and many other options. Sponsorships are an excellent way to market your business to the nearly seven hundred members of the Chamber, while also supporting the programs and services our Chamber provides to the membership and our community. This is a win-win opportunity for members of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce.

Dawn Kuhn, Bank Midwest, and Jeff Vaught, The Vaught Group, are co-chairs for the 2010 campaign. Over the next seven weeks, they will lead a team of more than 30 volunteers in an enthusiastic effort to engage all Chamber members in the Total Resource Campaign. So climb aboard our TRC and reel in the sponsorships that will help you make 2010 a BIG catch for your business!

Business Expo 2009
There are less than 10 booths available for the Business Expo Thursday, October 8, 2009! Do not forget to reserve your booth for this event, which is sure to gain exposure for your business. There will be more than 60 businesses exhibiting, and an estimated foot traffic of 600 people from the community.

The Expo will wear a green hat this year, featuring businesses encouraging green initiatives and sustainability with their products and services. In addition, the Green-Works Gallery will exhibit art created from recycled materials. If you are interested in entering a piece to the Green-Works Gallery, contact Megan Hardwick, program coordinator, either by telephone at (913) 631-6545 or e-mail, mhardwick@shawneekschamber.com. Other features at the Expo consist of the Shawnee-Safety Exhibit from the city's police and fire departments as well as seasonal-flu shots will be available to qualifying individuals at the Shawnee Mission Urgent Care booth.

Exposure is vital to business today and every day. What better of a way to conduct business than at the Business Expo?!
