C.Y.A. (Recession Requirements)
Your Board of Directors of the Shawnee Chamber
of Commerce have been working hard to
acknowledge that the times that we are going through
these days could be tough ones and making the
necessary adjustments to keep our Chamber well
positioned for the future. Being prudent business
leaders, they all focus on what it takes to survive in
good and bad times. I am blessed to have this
incredible group of folks that understand that the
bottom line is to be financially and ethically sound.
Obviously being a 4 Star Accredited Chamber one
would assume that everything is above the board, but
you know what they say about assuming.

Recession-Proof Your Business with the
Shawnee Chamber of Commerce
The Shawnee Chamber is dedicated to enhancing the
success of the local and regional business
community by working to grow and protect the bottom
line of member companies. While the current
economy and fear of a true recession is causing many
businesses to make adjustments, we encourage our
members to take full advantage of the opportunities
our members have to help recession-proof their
businesses.

| Old Shawnee Days |
| |
June 5 -8, 2008
Old Shawnee Days relies heavily on the support of
community volunteers. There are many volunteer
opportunities during the festival's four days including
staffing the information booths, serving as parking lot
attendants, chair and table set up, concert
stagehands, concert ticket takers, and helping with
hospitality. Volunteering at Old Shawnee Days is a
great opportunity to be involved in one of the area's
largest community events. For more information on
opportunities and to download the Volunteer
Confirmation Sheet please visit www.oldshaw
needays.org, or call Lori Hoelting at 913-631-
