Wow, where did the time go? It is difficult to believe that it has been nearly one year since I was blessed with the opportunity to begin my service as the Chair of the Board of the Shawnee Chamber for 2006 and that my term is now coming to an end.

Thanks to these dedicated volunteers who when asked, stepped up and agreed to devote their time and energy into their leadership role for the Chamber, Economic Development and Convention and Visitor's Bureau. As a staff we work closely with these leaders and their respective committee members as a part of our program of work each year.

Be sure to join us Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Shawnee Town Hall, 11600 Johnson Drive for our monthly membership luncheon. This month's luncheon will be dedicated to recognizing the many volunteers who provided leadership to our committees throughout the 2006 year.

I have had the pleasure of being the chairman of Shawnee's Convention and Visitor's Bureau (CVB) for the past two years. This position afforded me the opportunity of becoming involved in a wide array of activities.
