Ambassadors

The ambassadors are a passionate group of volunteers with an important mission: to serve as a liaison between new and existing members and the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce. They do this by addressing any comments or questions members might have, welcoming new members to the Chamber, helping with ribbon cuttings and grand openings and more. They also try to help members get involved with activities that may interest them in the Chamber and the community. This group meets once a month. Annual Dinner Committee

If you enjoy planning parties, try planning the biggest event of the year for the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce! This committee is so important because it takes more than the staff to pull off a monumental event like this. Creativity and fun are all required to serve with this great group of volunteers that help plan the event program, entertainment, food, auction and more.

Chairman’s Club

Recently formed, the Chairman’s Club is made up of selected volunteers who work regularly on business prospects and membership recruitment for the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce.

Business Expo Committee

This committee is responsible for planning and organizing the annual Business Expo, providing the opportunity for Chamber members to showcase their products and services to the community. A limited number of booths are available for this popular event.

Golf Committee

A great opportunity for corporate sponsorship, committee participation and volunteer opportunities. You don’t need to be a golfer to get excited about this annual sell-out event.

Government Affairs

These members have a strong interest in developing the annual legislative platform of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce and enjoy working with our elected delegation for the best interest of business and education.

Member Service Team

This group meets once a month over the lunch hour. The Team actively welcomes new members and makes personal visits to renewing members on behalf of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce.

Shawnee Tomorrow Leadership Steering

Volunteers and graduates review and evaluate the program each year and to support and plan the sessions.

TRC

Total Resource Campaign is kicked off in the fall of each year. TRC gives business members the advantage to plan ahead for next year’s sponsorships and marketing programs with the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce. This is a great opportunity to become directly involved with more than 30 volunteers working together to build a strong financial base for the Chamber.
