• The event must be sponsored by a Chamber member organization or be of broad interest to the Shawnee community and must be open to the public. Personal submissions are not allowed.
• The event must be in or near the City of Shawnee, as opposed to events held in Kansas City or Overland Park or Blue Springs, for example. An exception will be made for events outside of Shawnee if they are sponsored by a Chamber member.
• To ensure that an organization's most important events are given maximum consideration, organizations are limited to listing three events per month.
• Each event submission must include an event title, event type, description of event, organization sponsor, date, time, location, event URL (whenever possible), pricing (if applicable) as well as an event contact name, phone number and email address.
• Listings must be submitted via the online submission form. Any submissions received via email, phone, fax or on paper (either mailed or personally delivered) will not be accepted.
• All posted events are to be conducted in accordance with Chamber policies and state and federal laws and regulations.
• Use initial caps and lower case throughout.

Calendar Review and Publishing

• All submitted events are sent to the calendar editor for approval before they are published on the online calendar.
• All efforts will be made to post a submitted event within 48-72 business hours. It is recommended that you submit your event to the calendar at least one week prior to the event.
• The Shawnee Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to add, delete or change calendar information that does not comply with these criteria or is not respectful of the Shawnee community.
• The Shawnee Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to edit event information for length, spelling, language and clarity.
• The Chamber publishes calendar listings in good faith, but the submitting sponsor of the event will be responsible for checking the correctness of the entry; the Chamber is not responsible for errors or any losses/inconvenience resulting from errors.
