Our Shawnee Chamber staff and Board of Directors have been very busy. We just finished our board retreat with most of the chamber staff and had a very successful meeting. Gary D Baker, Ph.D. from the University of Missouri was the facilitator.

The Shawnee Chamber staff is not only very busy this time of year working on the balance of the 2007 programs, events and membership, but also working with Board, committees and groups to establish a very strong 2008 business plan for our members.

The 2007 Shawnee Business Expo, "Partnering with Business to Showcase our Community," was held on Thursday, October 4th at the Shawnee Civic Centre. Over 63 member businesses participated in the event.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2008 Shawnee Tomorrow Leadership Program. Deadline is November 15th.
